Accountant Accountant scored another comfortable win at Wellington, where he went 3min .18 4-ssec from a 3mln 34scc mark. Roxburgh Meeting The Roxburgh Trotting Club will hold lt|i annual race meeting on Saturday, December 9., Francisco. , ‘ From a flying start in the Stewards' Handicap at Epsom, Francisco was timed to go 3mip 14 3-sseo from post to post. Great Divide The principal event at Wellington wasa false-run race and won on speed over the final half-mile. Great Divide ran to the front at the home turn and was not driven out at the finish. Dusky Sound The Invercargill Trotting Cup winner Dusky Sound is a six-year-old gelding by Happy Voyage from Hector’s Own. and is another of the great number who do not figure in the Stud Book. Hector’s Own was got by Sir Hector from a Dragoon mare. Hutt Park After standing up to three days’ racing at; Trentham, the Wellington sporting public made what must be considered a good response under the circumstances to the Wellington Trotting Club’s meeting. . At last year’s meeting the returns showed an increase of £4921 10s over the previous year. Lawn Derby Lawn Derby arrived safe and sound at Addington over the week-end and Is reported to be in capital order He appears to have got through a satisfactory preparation, and his trainer holds confidence in the crack pacer’s chance in the Trotting Cup. Three Tens At Wellington Three Tens went 3mln lllsec from a 3min 34sec mark, but found one in Accountant rather too good. Later in the day Three Tens went 2mln 46 4-ssec from a 2mln 57sec mark, and after striking trouble in the race again found another in Queen's County top good. There was, however, no fluke about Queen’s County scoring a win, as last season she won at Wellington in 2min 48sec and at Oamaru in 2min 47sec. Barney Ooolan Barney Doolan, the Australian pacing record holder for a mile and a-half, failed to run Into a place in either of two Free-for-alls at the Melbourne Show. In one event he was beaten by Dan’s Son. one of the Australian “ also rans ’’ at the interdominion meeting at Addington Linden Lou, a half-sister to Barney Doolan. covered a mile from a flying start in 2min 10 2-ssec, a record for a mare in Australia. New Zealanders The Stratton Cup, the principal event at the West Australian Trotting Association's meeting at Gloucester Park, Perth, on October 3, was won by Will o' the Wisp, with Mountain Flight second and Gentle Bobbie third The track was heavy, the winner taking 4mln 42isec off a 4min 30sec mark. At a second meeting, on October 7. New Zealand-bred horses were well to the fore, Mountain Flight winning the Kununoppln Handicap. Kay Francis was successful in the Arulen Handicap, and Great Admiral scored in the Traynlng Handicap.
