Foreman’s Report The borough foreman (Mr J. Clyma) reported that during the fortnight ended on October 27 the council’s workmen had been engaged in general maintenance work on parks and streets. On account of repairs to the plant, no tar-sealing had been carried out. Scheme 13 men were at present engaged in placing the stone kerb and forming the lawns on Royal crescent. The report was adopted. Alteration to Tram Stop

The traffic and vehicle inspector (Mr P. De Largey) reported that the new terminus of the Forbury Park tram had been established at the corner of Richardson street and Moreau street During lunch hours a tram car remained in the vicinity for a period of 20 minutes, and during this time the time table tram was also narked at the corner while the running gear was changed. This obstructed the vision of motorists travelling east along Richardson street, and to obviate the danger of an accident at the corner it would be advisable to have the car terminus removed to a point in Plunket street. It was decided that a copy of the inspector’s recommendation be forwarded to the manager of the City Transport Department.
