CHRISTCHURCH COMPETITION <Per United Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 14. The Canterbury Cricket competition matches were started today in fine weather. The wickets and outfields were slow, and scoring generally was-inconsistent. Playing for Old Boys, last year's champion team, R E. J.' Menzies made a fine 119 in less than two hours.
