DOMINION BADMINTON TEAM MATCH AT NEWCASTLE . NEWCASTLE, Aug. 13. (Received Aug. 13, at 9 p.m.) The New Zealand bf/lminton team easily defeated Newcastle, which was virtually a New South Wales team, on Saturday night. MATCH AGAINST SYDNEY MISS KERR IN FORM SYDNEY, Aug. 13. (Received Aug. 13, at 9.30 p.m.) The New Zealand badminton team secured an overwhelming victory over a Sydney team. The results of the men's games were as follows: — G. Pearce (New Zealand) defeated J. Waugh (Sydney) 15—3, 15—5. Pearce defeated R. Whelan (Sydney) 15—1, 15—0. The results of the women's games were as follows:

Miss M. Kerr (New Zealand) defeated Miss Z. Campbell (Sydney) 11—0, U—2. Miss Kerr defeated Miss Gunton ll—o, 11—S. The result of the Mixed Doubles was as follows: Pearce and Miss Kerr defeated Whelan and Miss Gunton 15—3, l£i—lo. Miss Gunton is the New South Wales lady champion, so the strength of Miss Kerr's play is apparent. Pearce was easily superior in both his games.

After the match the New Zealanders showed the local players their weak points.
