JEWISH REFUGEES
SHIPLOAD REACHES HAIFA LARGE NUMBER SWIM ASHORE HAIFA, Aug. 10. Dressed in bathing costumes, some wearing lifebelts. 297 Jewish refugees staggered ashore, it is believed, from a Greek steamer, for which patrols have been searching for three days. Many were in the last stages of exhaustion. All were accommodated in the quarantine station.
