PAY AND ALLOWANCES
CONDITIONS IN THE NAVY CONTINUATION OF INQUIRY (Tee United Press Association; AUCKLAND, Aug. 10. The committee appointed by the Government to investigate the pay and allowances of ratings of the New Zealand division of the Royal Navy will resume its sittings at Auckland on Monday. This announcement was made after the return of the Leander to-day from an Islands cruise. Portion of the inquiry was held at Wellington, but the commission has been sitting at Auckland this week. Some members of the Leander’s crew have already submitted written statements, but they will be given an opportunity to present evidence before the committee.
