EMPIRE PARLIAMENTARY ASSOCIATION SPECIAL GROUP FORMED (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 10. Falling into line with every other part of the Empire the New Zealand branch of the Empire Parliamentary Association has formed a foreign affairs group with Mr W. E. Barnard (Speake of the House of Representatives) as chairman, Mr F, Waite, M.L.C., as deputy-chair-man. and Mr R. McKeen (Chairman of Committees < the House of Representatives) as secretary. The initial meeting of the group was attended by 30 members of both Houses and an address was given by Professor William C. Johnstone, Dean of the Junior College and Professor of Political Science at the George Washington University, who spoke on the Eastern situation. Professor Johnstone and his wife are returning to the United States via New Zealand after an extended tour of the Far East.
