IMPORT CONTROL
ISSUE OF LICENCES ; . AFTER CHRISTMAS VACATION ( Per United Press Association | WELLINGTON, Dec. 23. Import, licences will be issued immediately after the Christmas vacation; stated the Minister of Customs (Mr W. Nash) to-day. The arrangements have been completed, and the licences will be issued by the collectors of Customs. . Mr Nash said that, those applying for licences would bi2 of great assistance if they could classify their goods according/to the grouping of the tariff items. There were several hundred items in the tariff, and it would make it much easier to handle the applications if the goods were classified under one of these.
