MURDER CHARGE
WOMAN'S DEATH ON FARS HUSBAND FURTHER REMANDED (Per United Press Association i . NELSON. Dec. 23. Arthur Frederick Kerr, charged with murdering his wife at Uruwhenua on December 16. was further remanded in the Magistrate's Court till December 29. The accused is still in the hospital. Mr T. E. Maunsell, S.M., said he was in communication with the. Minister of Justice over the case, v Mrs Arthur Kerr arid her son Jack, aged 10 years, were found shot dead with a .22 rifle bullet at their home, Uruwhenua, Takaka County, on December 16. The husband, Arthur Kerr, was detained by the police. The victims were found dead, apparently murdered, at the home at Uruwhenua, 15 miles from Takaka. A daughter, Miss I. Kerr, was in the house at the time of the happening and gave the alarm to neighbours, who informed the policeman at Takaka. Mrs Kerr and the boy ! apparently had been shot with a .22-calibre rifle. Kerr is a farmer, aged about 50, and kept the Uruwhenua Post Office. / ;'
