JOURNALISTS’ DISPUTE
DELAY IN ISSUING AWARD EXPLANATION BY JUD& <Per United Press ' Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 20. Referring to the city journalists' dispute which is before the Arbitration Court, Mr Justice, O’Regan intimated to-day that, in view of the difficulties that faced the court in making the award, •• and the proximity of the vacation, it was im.practicable to issue the award until after the vacation; but it had been decided, in fairness to the parties, who had already met with delay, that when the award was issued the salaries clause should operate as from December 19.
