GROUNDLESS STORY
ATTEMPT ON MUSSOLINI'S LIFE REPORT NOT CONFIRMED LONDON, Dec. l(i. Reference has been made to a story, originating apparently in an Australian newspaper, that an attempt had been made on the life of Signor Mussolini. Reuter's Rome correspondent states that nothing is known of the alleged attempt on II Duce's life. The report, which was published in an Australian paper, is described as groundless. Further inquiry in Rome also elicited that there is not a word to support the story of an attempt on Signor Mussolini's life. A kter message stated that Signor Musjolini. with the members of the Cabinet, had left Rome for Sardinia to inaugurate the settlement of Carbon ia.
