WOOL FOR JAPAN
NEXT YEAR'S PROSPECTS TOKIO, Dec. 16. The prospects for Japan's importation of wool in 1939 will depend almost entirely on military and exporters' requirements, because the estimated stock carry-over into 1939 will be approximately 60,000 bales. This amount, which has been earmarked for domestic use, is based on the recent restricted consumption and will be sufficient to meet requirements until October. Further restriction is, however, contemplated.
