Mr W. K. George is the latest local golfer to hole out in one, performing the feat during a match played last week-end. The usual formalities were observed. Good work has been done on the links in preparation for the King's Hirthday tournament, a popular golfing outing on the Dunstan links.

Social Club Last week’s winners at the euchre session of the Clyde Social Club were Mrs Farrell and Mr H. Faulds. A fiance will follow the meeting this evening.

Rifle Club The attendance was well maintained at Tuesday night’s shoot on the Clyde Miniature Rifle Club’s range. C. J. Davidson and H. Tattersfield drew with 79 for the best score off the rifle, Davidson winning by a point in the shoot-off. A. Isbister took the handicap button after a double shoot-off. Opnortunity was taken by the club members to make a presentation to Mr D. McDonald, who has been transferred to Dunedin. Mr J. L. Davidson .(president), making the presentation to the guest, referred to his loyal support of the club since its inception. Messrs E. W. George and W. Thomson joined with him in wishing Mr McDonald the best of luck in his new home. Scores for the shoot are: C. J. Davidson, H. Tattersfield 79, R. Hanning 78, T. Stevens, W. Thomson 77, J. Ross, A. Davidson 57. J. Freeman 46, L. Stevens 45. Personal Prior to his departure tb Dunedin on transfer, Mr D. McDonald, of the local railway surfacemen’s staff, was entertained by his fellow-employees. A presentation was made to Mr McDonald, and best wishes expressed for his future welfare. Miss M. L. Davidson, lieutenant of the Clyde Girl Guides, will leave at the end of the week to attend the instruction camp being held in Dunedin next week for officers of the movement.
