RAILWAY GARDENING CLUB

WINTER SHOW Entries for the Railway Gardening Club’s Winter Show, which was held yesterday, were extremely good, both in the quality of the exhibits and numerically. The entry in the Japanese chrysanthemum section was more than double that of last year’s show. The champion Japanese chrysanthemum was a magnificent Sulphur Queen bloom, exhibited by Mr W. G. Hilhker The champion single chrysanthemum was also an excellent specimen, a Desert Song, entered by Mr F. Moir, Mr J. Fitzgerald won no fewer than three of the major trophies—the _cup for single chrysanthemum, the Cadbury Fry Hudson Challenge Cup for the most points in championship classes during the year, and the Boilershop Cun for vegetables.
