USE OF RENTAL CARS
GROWING IN POPULARITY
NUMBER-PLATE REGULATIONS

WELLINGTON, May 12. The use of rental cars throughout the Dominion has become so popular that regulations, which were issued with the Gazette to-night, have had to be made extending the stipulated number of number plates for use on these vehicles. The previous number plate regulations required that the plates for rental cars should be numbered from 1 to 999. The new regulations provide that the numbers should be extended from 1 to 1999.
