POLICE USE GAS BOMBS

RIOTING IN KANSAS CITY - OUTSIDE FORD ASSEMBLY PLANT KANSAS CITY, Dec 6. (Received Dec. 7, at 11 p.m.) Forty policemen, hurling gas bombs, dispersed between 300 and and 400 demonstrators at the Ford assembly plant. The demonstrators arrived in cars and moved towards the plant, where 15 policemen were ok duty. Patrol cars brought reinforcements in response to a frantic radio summons, and their bombs speedily drove off the demonstrators. The regional organiser of the ur.ited automobile workers issued a statement declaring that the demonstration was decided on to show the solidarity of the union for Ford workers..
