FORESTERS
The fortnightly meeting, of Court Excelsior, A.0.F., was held on November 30. The Chief Ranger, Bro, W. D. Cunningham, presided over a full muster of officers and members. The woodwards' fortnightly report on the sick brothers showed that there were more on the funds of the court. The secretary, Bro. Patton, reported that Bro. J. W. Duff, who is at present in Melbourne, had lost his wife, a letter of condolence having been sent. Mr A. G. McDonald was initiated by C.R. Bro. Cunningham, I.P.C.R. Bro. R. C. Lamb taking the second part, and S.C.R. Bro. L. L. Boatwood welcomed the new brother. Court Secretary Bro. E. J. Patton, on behalf of the euchre team, handed the shield won from Court King Edward's Pride to the C.R. C.R. Bro. Cunningham, on behalf of the court, congratulated the team on winning the shield, stating that for the 10 years the shield had been in competition the court had won it three times, Court Pride of Dunedin had won it six times, and Court St. Andrew's had won it once. It was resolved to hold only one summoned meeting in December, as the second meeting fell between Christmas and New Year, and it was thought most of the members would be away.

Wilson informed the court that the Juvenile Council was holding a r picnic in February, and said the coun- L cil would like two delegates from the >' court to assist, as a large crowd was - expected.
