REICHSBANK PRESIDENT
MAY RELINQUISH POSITION RESIGNING FROM MINISTRY BERLIN, Oct. 26. (Received Oct. 27, at 11.55 p.m.) There is the strongest belief that Dr Schacht has resigned the Ministership of Economics. He asked Herr Hitler for permission to announce his resignation, so that he could disavow responsibility for the four-year plan, but Herr Hitler has not yet given permission. Many quarters believe that Dr Schacht will also relinquish the presidency of the Reichsbank when due for renewal.
