COMMUNITY SING
Next Friday the last mid-day community sing will be held and the proceeds will go to the Mayoress’s Christmas Cheer Fund for the children. Big Brother Bill will be the leader. Last year the listeners-in and those attending made the collection a good one and it is hoped that this year there will be a similarly generous response on the part of the public. The sing will be held in the Strand Theatre (by courtesy of Fuller-Hayward), and a special treat is promised by visiting artists. Mr J. F. Himburg would be pleased to have cheerios handed in by Thursday. A programme of new and old favourites will be sung. The grand final night will be on Monday, November 8, at the Town Hall.
