WOMEN'S HOCKEY

The Women's Hockey Executive meeting was held on Monday, Miss Adams, Mesdames Nelson and Sonntag. and Misses Mackie, Wilson, Lee, and Foley being present. A letter was received from the town clerk advising that the two grounds inside the University enclosure were required by the University Council for the Students' Association. It was decided to communicate with the Tramways Department regarding the insufficiency of buses for the transport of players to Logan Park on Saturdays between 1.30 and 2.30. The secretarv was instructed to write and congratulate Mr O. Dey on his selection for the New Zealand team. The Training College was granted the use of a ground at Logan Park for their match against Canterbury Training College on June 23. A letter was received from the Taieri Club tendering its resignation from the competition. It was reported that the girls were in favour of holding another dance. It was decided to hold the dance on July 20, and the details were left in the hands of the Social Committee. West Taieri, Outram (Miss Henderson); Dunedin v. Technical School, Logan Park No. 3 (Mr Leith); v. Kings, Logan Park No. 4, at 1.30 (Miss Adams). C Grade: Momona v. Training College, Oval No. 2 (Mr Paterson); Technical School v. Y.W.C.A., Oval No. 2, at 1.30 (Mrs Smith): Bounty v. Otago. Oval No. 1 (Mrs Smith).
