RIFLE SHOOTING
EDIEVALE CLUB Edicvale Defence Rifie Club fired its first match for the Edie Cup on Saturday last, a good attendance of members being present. The Graham Cup, which is a handicap event, was fired in cpnjunetion with this match. There were seven shots each, with two optional sighlers over 300, 500 and 000 yards. Weather conditions, particularly in the early stages, were against high scoring, but later in the afternoon conditions improved somewhat. Some outstanding scores were registered, particularly that of Deputy President J. Adams, who finished the day with 99 points off the rifle. In the handicap event, Rifleman I. Kempthorne was the most successful competitor, with 100 points to his credit. The following are the scores, with handicaps added:—Rfm. I. Kempthorne 100, Dep. Pres. J. Adam 99, Rfm. A. Sim 99, Pres.
