UTOPIA CLUB CONCERT
MEMORIAL FUND BENEFITS The Utopia Club staged an enjoyable concert in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall last evening. ihe hall was filled to overflowing and a number of intending patrons were unable to gain admission. The proceeds from the concert are in aid of ine King George V Memorial Fund, which will benefit to the extent of over £ls. The Mayor (the Rev. E. T. Cox) expressed his appreciation of the action of the club in making the donation, and wished the venture all future sucThc programme, which was ol the musical varietv nature, was an attractive one. and the audience warmly expressed its approval of the items. The following contributed to the entertain-ment:--Mr Alex. Swan and his band, with vocal choruses by Mr A Waller, a newcomer to the concert platform; Mr George Cox and his tap-dancing ballet; Mr John Pringle, baritone solos; Messrs T. and L. Andrews, xylophone and piano-accordion duet; the Lawrence sisters, tap-dancing; Bert and Murray, comedy; the Wilson sisters, songs; "Mr U and Mr Topia." piano duets; Mr J. Murray, saxophone solos; Messrs G. Stirling and t:. Edwards, steel guitar duets; Mr Burke, mouth organ solos.
