THE AUSTRALIAN PLAYERS QUIST CONVALESCENT FOREST HILLS, May 28. (Received May 28, at 11 p.m.) His physician said that Quist has been improving since early in the week, when at one time he had a temperature of 103, and if he had accepted advice not to practice on Monday he would probably have been wholly well. To-day a blood test will be taken and it will be known to-morrow whether he can play. It is understood that Quist has been nominated for the Singles with the proviso that if the physician certifies against him playing M'Grath will be substituted. It is believed that an extra day's rest will enable Quist to play in the Doubles.
