THE CORONATION SCOT
NEW STREAMLINED EXPRESS FIRST APPEARANCE (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, May 26. The London - Midland - Scottish Railway Company's new streamlined express train, the Coronation Scot, made its first appearance as a complete unit. The engine is the first of five locomotives of this type which will draw the Coronation Scot on the 400-miles London-Glasgow route in six hours and a-half. It weighs over 160 tons, and is expected to draw a train weighing 297 tons at a speed of over 100 miles an hour.
