A SINGLE FRONTIER
BALKAN PACT STATES KEMAL ATATURK'S MESSAGE WARNING TO THE POWERS (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) ATHENS, May 27. (Received May 27, at 11 p.m.) Kemal Ataturk, President of the Turkish Republic, telephoned a message to the guests at a banquet at Athens in honour of the visiting Turkish Premier, General Inonu, warning the Powers to keep their hands off the Balkan Pact States. He declared: "The frontiers of the allied Balkan States form a single frontier, and those having aims on it will expose themselves to the rays of the burning sun. They should take care." The Balkan Pact States are Turkey, Greece, Rumania and Jugoslavia. Kemal's warning, it is pointed out, reflects their determination not to be made the object of a Berlin or Rome policy.
