CASE FALLS FROM LORRY WIDOW AWARDED DAMAGES fpER United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 5. The jury awarded £ 1250 damages k Margaret Cree Ritchie in the Supreme Court to-day for the death of her husband, Robert Kennedy Ritchie, who was killed on December 1 when a packing case fell off a lorry,/Which was crossing the Lower Hutt pipe bridge. The plaintiff claimed £3OOO for herself and her 12-year-old son, the defendants being Barton, Ginger and Co., Ltd. A few minutes after the jury had returned its verdict Mrs Ritchie fainted.
