ONE CASE FOR OBSERVATION GIRL FROM MAIA A girl aged 10 years, from Maia, suspected of being affected by infantile paralysis, was admitted to the Hospital last night for observation. This is the first case in the Dunedin district this week. There were no notifications of cases from the country districts of Otago yesterday, but a boy of 14 years was admitted to the Waimate Hospital from Waihao Forks He is slightly paralysed in one leg. A suspected case of infantile paralysis, that of a boy aged eight years, was admitted to the Oamaru Public Hospital to-day for investigation. The case has not yet been diagnosed, and it is not known whether it will prove positive or not. This makes three admissions to the Oamaru Hospital within the last three days.
