GOLD CUP TO REY SPEC SEVERAL OUTSIDERS SUCCESSFUL (Per United Press, Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 4. The Wellington Trotting Club’s summer meeting was opened at Hutt Park to-day in perfect weather, and the track was fast. There was a large attendance, and the totalisator handled £14.106 10s. against £11,602 last year An inquiry was held into the handling of Winnie Parrish in the Progressive Handicap, and the explanation of the owner and driver. B J Mackle. was accepted. Following are the results;— PRELIMINARY HANDICAP.
