NEW AERODROME
TAURANGA PROPOSAL CARRIED (Per United Press Association) TAURANGA, Nov. 20. A poll was taken yesterday on the proposal to raise £3500 as the borough’s share in establishing an aerodrome near Mount Maunganui. The proposal was carried by 284 votes to 144. The total number entitled to vote was approximately 1100. It is understood that the Government’s contribution towards the cost of the aerodrome will be £13,300.
