THE WEATHER
. The weather on Saturday was dull and overcast with a light breeze from the north-east. The sun shone for a short period in the morning. The barometer fell throughout the day. Yesterday was overcast and there were 'a few light showers in the morning. The barometer reading at 5 p.m. was 29.95 in. CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH. ' (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, June 14. The weather continued fine but cloudy during the week-end, a light breeze varying between east and north-east. Saturday was very cold but the temperature to-day is remarkably mild. The barometer after falling slowly since Friday registers 29.95 in. WELLINGTON, June 14. Saturday was fine with a light north-north-west breeze. The maximum temperature was 53.4 degrees and the minimum 40.3 degrees. Sunday was cloudy at first, later becoming overcast. Misty rain set in about noon and continued at intervals throughout the afternoon. the wind was from the north-north-west all day and was light to moderate mostly but freshening at times. The maximum temperature was' 54.0 degrees and the minimum" 43.4 degrees.
CHRISTCHURCH, Juno 14. The weather was fine but for the most part cloudy in Christehurch yesterday, and a cold north-east wind was blowing. This morning was overcast and calm, but the sun came out at noon, and the afternoon was fine. The barometer is steady at 29.90 in.
