Rugby Football Sub-union
At the monthly meeting of the Eastern Districts Rugby Football Sub-union, Mr J. Penno occupied the chair. The Waifcouaiti delegate advised that the senior team had disbanded, owing to injuries to players. The transfer of F. Thomas from Ettrick to Palmerston was granted. Mr Penno was nominated manager of the senior team and Mr O’Connell of the junior players, for the trip to Ranfurly on June 27. The following is the remainder of the draw for the second round:— June 27: Eastern Districts (seniors and juniors) v. Maniototo, at Ranfurly. July 4: Seniors— Dunback v. Watea, at Hillgrove; Palmerston v. Seacliff, at Palmerston. Juniors —Dunback v. Waikouaiti, at Waikouaiti. July 11: Palmerston v. Watea, at Hillgrove.
