ATTITUDE OF MINISTERS DECLARATIONS RECALLED LONDON, June 0. (Received June 10, at* l a.in.) Mr Henry Cleminson general manager of the Chamber of Shipping of thfe United Kingdom, in a letter to The Times recalling that Mr Stanley Baldwin, Mr Neville Chamberlain, Mr Walter Runciman and other Ministers inside and outside the House of Commons declared their determination to defend British shipping, says: “If continued reliance is to he placed upon these declarations, it is essential before Mr Menzies returns to Australia that the British Government shall have given a clear and definite lead and reached a provisional agreement with the representatives of the three other Governments concerned.”
