The actual training dates are April 1 to 6, all ranks travelling to Waianaknrua on March 31 and returning home on April 7. A good attendance is essential, and civil servants are reminded of the necessity of obtaining certificates prior to camp. . . A comprehensive syllabus of training has been prepared and issued to all ranks in the expectation that a careful study will be made of it, so that soldiers, will be in a position to take an intelligent interest in the work from the outset. The work will be of a progressive nature, commencing w r ith section ' exercises and' working up to a battalion scheme, advance guard and attack. Each day will be commenced with the battalion parade, from which the various sub-units will take up their training.
