NATIONAL FLOWER SHOW
A PICTURESQUE SETTING (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 5. Tn the incomparable setting of the Ellerslic racecourse grounds the sixth national flower show was opened by Lady Galway to-night. With coloured lamps under the trees and the main features floodlit, the gardens were turned into a veritable fairyland. Entries were received from places as far apart as Whangarei and Dunedin, contributing to a show of a magnitude hitherto unknown in the Dominion. Dahlias formed the major group. The entries totalled GGO. The honour of providing the seedling champion of champions bloom went to S. T. Danby, of Thames, for a magnificent sulphur giant, Bill Aubry. ;
