LOCAL ACTIVITIES GROUPS TO REPORT. The following groups under the control of the Works Department of the Dunedin City Croporation will report for work at 8 a.m. to-day: — SG2 —Green Island aerodrome site (meet at Cavcrsham Railway Station at 7.55 a.m.). UNEMPLOYMENT TAX

In this issue the Unemployment Board announces that the next instalment of the general unemployment levy will become due on November 1, and that, on the same date, the third instalment of the emergency unemployment charge of 8d in the £1 on income other than salary or wages will also become due. Taxpayers who paid in advance the full year's tax at the old rate of lOd in the £1 will receive before May 1 written notification regarding the adjustment of any amount overpaid.
