LOCAL ACTIVITIES GROUPS TO REPORT. The following groups under the control of the Works Department of the Dunedin City Croporation will report for work at 8 a.m. to-day: — SG2 —Green Island aerodrome site (meet at Cavcrsham Railway Station at 7.55 a.m.). S 03 —Allandale road, at Coney Hill road. So4—Mason street, at Sturdee street. S 65 —Signal Hill road, at one mile above M'Gregor street (meet at M'Gregor street at 8 a.m.). S 67 —Jubilee street, at Hawthorne avenue. SOS —Wairoa street and County road. S 69 —Balmacewen road, at Helensburgh road. S 71 —Carr street, at France street. S72—Tomahawk road, at Minto street. S73—Carson street, at Byron street. S7s—Cavel! street, at Botha street. R 75 —Burns street, at Fergusson street. S 78 —Cargill road, at M'Glashan street. R7B—Burns street, at Fergusson street. S79—Allandale road, at Coney Hill road. R 79 —Burns street, at Fergusson street. SBl—Frascr's road, at sanitary stables. SB7—Water of Leith, at quarter-mile above George street bridge. UNEMPLOYMENT TAX
In this issue the Unemployment Board announces that the next instalment of the general unemployment levy will become due on November 1, and that, on the same date, the third instalment of the emergency unemployment charge of 8d in the £1 on income other than salary or wages will also become due. Taxpayers who paid in advance the full year's tax at the old rate of lOd in the £1 will receive before May 1 written notification regarding the adjustment of any amount overpaid.
