SEDAN RAIL CAR
POSSIBILITIES DEMONSTRATED MAIN TRUNK JOURNEY IN TEN HOURS. \_ (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 23. The possibilities of the sedan type of rail motor vehicle were again demonstrated to-day. when the car used by the general manager of railways, Mr G. H. Mackley, made the trip from Wellington to Auckland in an actual running time of just over 10 hours. The party left Wellington at 7.50 o’clock this morning and reached the Auckland railway station at 7.29 p.m. Stops totalling 94 minutes were made on the way, so that the actual running time was lOhr smiu. Mr Mackley expressed complete satisfaction with the running of the car, and said that at 50 miles an hour the party rode in the utmost comfort.
