WELLINGTON BURGLARY
RECENT JEWELLERY THEFT CHINAMAN CHARGED WITH RECEIVING. (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 23. A charge of receiving jewellery, valued at £3OO, arising out of a burglary at the Anchor Loan and Exchange Company on May 22, was laid against Ng Kmn Tong, alias Charlie Tong, alias Ngh Tong, aged 32, a fruiterer, of Haining street. Jewellery valued at £BOO was stolen from the shop, and tbe date of receiving is alleged to be about May 2. A rent and was granted until July 01, when Alfred Jeffery will appear on a charge of stealing the jewellery. Bail was refused. ___
