SIXTEEN INDIANS KILLED THE CAUSE NOT KNOWN (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) CALCUTTA, July 1. { (Received July 1, at 9 p.m.) As the result of an explosion in Bihar colliery, at Dhanbad, 16 men were killed and 23 injured. The cause is not known as flames and smoke are still issuing from many ventholes. The accident was sensed by an overseer, who did not hear the explosion but ordered the men up. Four out of 150 faile... to report, and the overseer and the assistant manager went down and both perished. Meanwhile flames shot up the shaft, injuring 33 men, 10 of whom died.
