SPLITTING OF VOTES
BRITISH BY-ELECTION CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATES LONDON, February 23. (Received Feb. 25, at 1.30 a.m.) The Conservatives will split another by-election at Norwood, where the candidates are D. Sandys (National Conservative), R. Findlay (Independent Conservative) and Mrs Ayrton Gould (Labour). The Conservative majority at the last election in a straight fight with Labour was $3,634. Mr Findlay belongs to a young group of Conservatives, and is a supporter of Mr Randolph Churchill. He says he places the Empire before party, and aims at making the Conservative Party an instrument of Imperial development instead of Imperial abdication. He recently resigned from the Fascist Party.
