OLDEST FAMILY OF SWEEPS
Mr Ernest Dunn, of Bradford, England, claims that his is the oldest family of sweeps in the world. His father and grandfather were “climbers”; the latter started his career when he was only live years of age. Dressed in the lightest of clothing and a climbing cap, a mask which completely enveloped the head and face, the oldtime climbers ascended the wide, open chimneys, and swept them by hand. The first Mr Dunn established his business in Manchester.
