MORE WORK CAMPAIGN
BIG BUILDING' SCHEME One great help to the More Work Campaign is that instituted by Mr T. R. Hindle. He intends to erect 65 modern residences on the Forbury road sub-division. Ten of these houses are now in the course of erection. These houses are being financed on a novel scheme that will help the prospective owner who has not too much floating capital. Each house will be financed for 20 years, and each will carry an insurance policy to the full value of the mortgage, small repayments to be made every week. If the owner dies, a clear title will be given to the family of the deceased, and if he lives he will hold an insurance policy of more than £IOOO. In the building of the houses Dominion made materials will be used wherever practicable. The formation of the new road between Forbury road and Surrey street has been completed by the City Council, and water is now being laid on. Electric light and gas will be available shortly.
