TO-DAY’S GAMES The First Grade matches commenced last Saturday will be continued at Logan Park to-day. On the Main Ground, the University and Albion game is in a very interesting position. Albion scored 155 runs m its first innings and University has scored 12 without loss, and should have a rcsasonable chance of obtaining the necessary runs. On the No. 2 wicket the match between Carisbrook and Christian Brothers Old Boys will be continued. As Christian Brothers was disposed of for 52 runs and Carisbrook has 133 for the loss of two wickets, this match appears to be a foregone conclusion with Carisbrook, which no doubt will endeavour to secure a four-point victory. On the No. 3 wicket the match betw-een the Colts and Kaikorai is also in a very interesting position. The Colts team has secured 166, and Kaikorai has lost three wickets for 20 runs, and the remaining batsmen will have to perform well to avoid defeat. In the match between Dunedin and High School Old Boys, High School Old Boys has scored 126, and Dunedin has lost sis wickets for 99 runs and requires 28 runs with four wickets in hand. There should be an interesting finish for the first innings’ lead. In the Carisbrook B and Grange match Carisbrook B compiled 139 and Grange has lost four for 57. Collections will be taken up, and it is hoped that patrons will respond in a generous manner.
