SLEEPWALKER’S ACT
SIGNAL WIRES MOVED An astonishing case of sleep-walking at Prestatyn, Flintshire, was reported recently. ■ At 2 o’clock in the morning Mr T. C. Edwards, a railway signalman, was on duty in his box near Prestatyn Station when he saw one of the signal wires moving. On going to investigate he found a boy in his night clothes standing on the line. He shouted, but the boy made no reply, and Mr Edwards then saw that the lad’s eyes were closed, and that he was walking in his sleep. He guided the boy to his box, where, half an hour later,-he awoke. The boy, who said •he was Thomas Dunstan, of Dukinfield, Cheshire, was staying at a holiday camp. .He could not remember anything after he had gone to'sleep in a tent with seven companions, none of whom was aware that the boy had left until told next morning. The boy states that he has never walked in his sleep before.
