RUSSIA AND POLAND

A NON-AGGRESSION PACT SIGNATURES APPENDED. LONDON, May 7. (Received May 7, at 11.30 p.m.) The Daily Herald’s diplomatic correspondent says: “ A 10-year pact of nonaggression has been signed at Moscow between Russia and Poland. It gives the Soviet additional security in the west and so makes Japanese aggression more risky. Thus a big step has been taken in the consolidation of peace in Eastern Europe. The new pact dispels the rumours that the German-Polish agreement on non-aggression had a secret undertaking behind it for eventual attack upon the Soviet Union.”
