TOWER FOR CATHEDRAL
GIFT OF BUSINESS MEN IN MEMORY OF THEIR FATHER. LONDON, March 13. In memory of their father, who was a business man in Liverpool, where thsy also started in business, Lord Vestey and Sir Edmund Vestey have contributed £220,000 to enable the erection of a central tower of a height of 327 feet at Liverpool Cathedral. Their Majesties have consented to the portrayal of their figures among the statues in the great porch.
