LATEST TREASURY RETURNS (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, March 13. The latest weekly Treasury returns show that to March 10 the total ordinary revenue for the current financial year, which ends on Maroh 31, amounted to £676,908,092, and the ordinary expenditure to £651,185,862. For the full year it was estimated that the ordinary revenue would amount to £698,777,000, and the ordinary expenditure to £700,866,000. ' The inland revenue collected last week totalled £16,313,000, including £10,215,000 income tax, £3,060,000 surtax, and £1,850,000 estate duties. The receipt from Customs arid excise last week amounted to £5,072,000, bringing the total to date to £269,465,000, which slightly exceeds the estimated yield for the full year. The ordinary and self-balancing revenue to date amounts to £755,238,092, and the.total ordinary and self-balanc-ing expenditure amounts to £740,035,351 after allowing for two items not provided for in the Budget—namely, £7,215,097 for the new sinking fund and £3,304,392 for war debt payments to the United States. The Budget estimate for ordinary and self-balancing expenditure was £784,405,000.
