WHEAT INDUSTRY
THE WORLD AGREEMENT CANADIAN LEGISLATION. OTTAWA, March 13. In a general statement covering the wheat agreement the Prime Minister (Mr R. B. Bennett) informed Parliament that emergency wheat boards with power to license and restrict sales and deliveries within the provinces might be set up under measures to be introduced this week in the Legislatures of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta, and with a joint board established by the Provincial and Federal > Governments would implement the world wheat agreement so far as Canada was concerned. The Federal Parliament would also be asked to enact such legislation as might be necessary to give the Dominion Government authority to restrict sales and deliveries outside the provinces.
