GANGSTER SENTENCED
IMPRISONMENT FOR LIFE " KIDNAPPING OF FACTOR. CHICAGO, March 13. (Received March 14, at 5.5 p.m.) Basil Banghart, a member of the Touhy gang, whose testimony was largely responsible for the conviction of Roger Touhy for the kidnapping of Jacob Factor, was himself convicted on the same charge to-day and sentenced to 99 years imprisonment. Charles "Ice Wagon" Connors, another member of the gang and for a long tin-e a fugitive from justice, who was charged with aiding in "the Factor kidnapping, was murdered to-day by fellowgangsters, apparently because he refused to contribute his share of a recent bank robbery to the legal defence fund to fight the , kidnapping cases against Touhy, Banghart, and others.
