INDIAN BABY KIDNAPPED
SON OF A MILLIONAIRE SNATCHED FROM NURSE’S ARMS. CALCUTTA, September 11. (Received Sept. 12, at 8 p.m.) A new type of crime for India was committed at Lahore when the 13-month-old son of Purabchand Malhorta, a Punjab millionaire, was snatched from its Indian nurse’s arms while she was walking in a park, the kidnapper driving away in a car. The nurse, in a desperate fight to save her charge, was injured. The police are scouring a big area. A limitless reward is offered by the grief-stricken parents.
