RAFFLED MOTOR CAR
SEVENTEEN ALLEGED WINNERS UNABLE TO PRODUCE TICKETS. (Peu United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, September 6. So far the motor car which was raffled in aid of the Wellington St. John Ambulance fund has not been claimed, although the winning ticket was sold in Christchurch. There have been 17 applications from people who claimed they held the winning ticket, but had lost it. The organisers have decided that unless the winning ticket is produced within the next 14 days the car will be offered to the mayor of Christchurch for disposal at auction, the proceeds to go to the Relief of Distress Fund. The car is worth £250.
